UP YOUR GAME with this all-year round group class designed to maximize your rapid improvement.
Addresses all four categories of your game; namely, the technical, the strategic, the mental and the physical. Geared for players who are looking to take their game to the next level!

Objectives:

  1. Learn proper fundamental techniques for all strokes, including serves and volleys, through Progression System.
  2. Start groundstrokes with drop and hit; then progress to feeding with basic, proper footwork movement in all directions with proper recovery.
  3. Introduce lob and touch shots. Dink-ums is a great drop shot game for touch shots.
  4. Introduce the serve.
  5. Once the student can rally reasonably well play mini-tennis match-play.
  6. Improved accuracy of serve with abbreviated backswing on serve. Intro to full motion on serve.
  7. Improved shot tolerance and accuracy required.
  8. Introducing split step & open stance groundstroke movement patterns. Split step is used for volleys also.
  9. Introduce abbreviated serve.
  10. Then move onto full motion on serve taught with intro to targets and spins.

Heavily focused on hand eye coordination, balance, footwork, ready position, holding racket correctly and beginning to master proper stroke production.
Work to help players get ready for match play by reinforcing proper stroke production, footwork and basic strategy concepts.

Help players to be able to hit full spectrum of tennis shots with solid technique, greatly improved footwork and recovery needed to cover the bigger court size.
